Shape of an Answer

Shape of an Answer is an artist book and an extended version of Ghorer Bairer Aalo—an exploration of my origin and inheritance, which is embedded in the figure of my mother—through artistic mediums such as photography, printmaking, surveillance, and text. Interspersed and accompanied by poetry, personal writing, the work cumulatively contemplates memory, migration, mental illness, and transgenerational trauma, and how they inform identity.
